Mining

Miner fee revenue (USD/day)

Total transaction fees paid to miners that day, in USD.

Why it matters

Distinct from the block subsidy (Puell Multiple) — as halvings shrink the subsidy over time, fees become a larger share of what keeps miners running.

Build it yourself

It only takes converting BTC to dollars at the day's price.

Fee revenue USD = fees in BTC × price

Illustrative example numbers for practice — not real data.

How it's calculated, step by step

  1. While scanning each block, fees in BTC are computed (sum of inputs − sum of outputs of the block's transactions, excluding the coinbase) and accumulated per day in chain_stats_daily.fees_btc.
  2. USD fees = the day's BTC fees × that day's price.
Descriptive. It measures mining economics, not a price signal.
